Coated Wire Tensioner

Tensions coated wire (Horsecote® and Hotcote®) with no need to strip, crimp, or tie a knot.

How many are needed?

• On flat runs with no corners, use one Mini Spooler per length of fence, placed at the center.
• On uneven terrain or runs with corners, you may need more:
  • One Mini Spooler for every 1,320 ft (402 m) of coated wire.
  • One Mini Spooler for every 90° of accumulated elevation or directional change. Corners, dips, and rises all create friction, and it's the cumulative total that matters — not any single bend.

What to expect. The Mini Spooler is designed for horses and other animals — no sharp edges, no moving parts. It performs in climates around the world, hot or cold, wet or dry, and should last as long as the coated wire itself, though severe or repeated physical abuse can shorten its life.

Not for use with: smooth wire, tape or polywire.
